After working with Aamir Khan and Shah Rukh Khan, actor-filmmaker Farhan Akhtar says he is keen to work with his childhood friend Salman Khan.

The 37-year-old knows Salman from his childhood days, thanks to their fathers, the scriptwriter duo Salim-Javed.

"Salman and I have spent a lot of time together and we were really good friends. He was really supportive and caring towards me and Zoya just like he was towards his own brothers," said Farhan in the capital Saturday, attending the Hindustan Times Leadership Summit.

"We have spoken on many occasions to get Salim and Javed back. We have spoken about doing a film together too. It would be great if we do it. I will be all in for it. I really want to do something with him," he added.

Farhan, who is all set for his next project "Don 2" to hit the screens Dec 23, also reveals his parents have never pressurised him and have always been supportive.

"My parents have never pressurised me or Zoya. They have never poked any of us, saying your treatment is not correct or anything. They are happy that we have independently made a name for ourselves and are passionate about our work," he said.

Farhan, who has directed films like "Dil Chahta Hai", "Lakshya" and "Don" franchise, admits one should never take audience for granted.

"The most important lesson I have learnt being in the industry is that one should never take the audience for granted. People need to do their work by telling the story and not think and assume that our audience is intelligent enough to understand the details. It is the effort that needs to be made to be accepted and recognised," he said.

DJ Suketu was the only resident DJ manning the consoles at the Tom Cruise welcome bash that took place over the weekend in Mumbai.

Attended by not just the who's who but the 'rarely-seen' in the Bollywood fraternity such as Yash Chopra and Subhash Ghai, the night came alive not just for Cruise's ardent fans but for Cruise himself who was quite bowled over by Suketu's prowess with music.
The one remix that Tom was quite taken in by was Suketu's version of our popular favorite 'Dhinka Chika'. Cruise spent his time on his flight listening to Bollywood music and he loved Salman's steps to it. This was brought to Suketu's attention who promptly played the song esepcially for Cruise.

The Ghost Protocol lead actress Paula Patton took to the dance floor to Suketu's next remix for 'Chammak Challo' and urged Mumbai to come out and party.

Mumbai: Bollywood heavyweights and arch rivals Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan just can’t get enough of each other! Wondering why? Well these guys don’t share friendship anymore yet their existence seems to be incomplete without one another. Their enmity looks stronger than the bond of friendship.
Fans of these two Pathans of the Tinsel Town have been earnestly looking forward to see either of them extending an olive branch to the other. But in all probability it looks implausible at least in the near future.
Last week when Shah Rukh Khan cycled with his daughter Suhaana, paparazzi was ready to grab images of the father and daughter duo out in the public. And fans too had gathered in great number to catch a glimpse of their favourite star cycling like a commoner.

Legendary actor Dilip Kumar turns 89 today. We wish him a very happy birthday and a long life

Muhammad Yusuf Khan, popularly known as Dilip Kumar, is a legendary Bollywood actor. Dilip Kumar turns 89 today. He started his career in 1944 with the film Jwar Bhata. He starred in a wide variety of films such as Andaz (1949), Aan (1952), the tragic Devdas (1955), the comic Azaad (1955), the historical Mughal-e-Azam (1960) and the social drama Ganga Jamuna (1961). In 1976, the actor took a five-year break from film performances. In 1981, he returned with a character role in the film Kranti and continued his career playing central characters in films such as Shakti (1982), Karma (1986) and Saudagar (1991). His last film was Qila in 1998. The Government of India honoured him with the Padma Bhushan in 1991 and the Dadasaheb Phalke Award in 1994 for his contributions towards Indian cinema. He has worked in around 60 movies and has inspired many upcoming B-town actors.

As his close friend and another Bollywood legend Dev Anand passed away two weeks ago, Dilip sahab had decided not to celebrate his birthday. But the star will now celebrate it with friends, family and wife Saira Banu, the way he had been planned before. There was good bonding between superstars Dilip saab and Dev Anand throughout their lives although they were rivals. But they had had a tiff a few years ago. And so, Dilip saab had planned to invite Dev for his birthday and reconcile. We heard that Dev had asked his close friend Mohan Churiwala to send a bouquet of flowers to Dilip saab on the occasion. We are sure that Dilip saab will miss his contemporary Dev Anand on the special day. But he must be happy on his birthday while looking back at his illustrious life of 88 years! We wish Dilip Kumar a very happy birthday and may he have long and healthy life ahead!
